Whose eyes watch the pictures sent by a surveillance camera? In her video work, artist Shabnam Azar uses images from Google Street-View to analyse and restage the claustrophobic aesthetic of omnipresent video surveillance. Because of her engagement with the opposition, when Amahdinedschad was re-elected in 2009 she experienced her own transformation from a journalist and poet into a ›subversive Person‹, and was forced to leave her mother country Iran.
