Five photos from Linda Lebeck’s series are displayed. Three portraits: the back of a man’s head, the profile of a woman, a woman almost frontally. In addition, a woman’s hand holding a framed portrait of the young Rainer Werner Fassbender, and a note with the word ›Applause‹ written on it in red. No narrative is intended here. The fragmented, detached visual language tends rather to direct the view on that which lies between the frames. Instead of formulating a meaning it opens a space for reflection. (Lisa Bosbach)
