Carolin Liebl’s kinetic object plays on the association with potential danger: An extension cable connected to the mains wallows non-stop in a puddle of coloured water. Through its continuous movement, the cable turns into an autonomous medium, which becomes independent and determines its own rhythm. It generates clear structures and painterly moments on the floor. It seems as if the technology deliberately lays down traces and writes its mark on the floor. (Sonja Wunderlich)
